This group is made up of decision makers from statutory organisations including: South Wales Police, Cardiff Council, South Wales Fire & Rescue, Local Health providers and organisations such as Communities First and Housing Associations. It offers the opportunity to raise issues that are considered a nuisance by the local community and look at how they can best be tackled across the group. Issues have included problems with fly tipping, graffiti, dog fouling, crime and anti-social behaviour and lack of funding for activities. The group is relatively new but has already been involved in multi- agency days (clean ups, graffiti removal, minor repairs and decoration to community spaces), a dog fouling campaign in Splott – soon to be extended to Adamsdown, PACT meetings and securing funding for activities over Halloween and Bonfire night to try to divert young people away from anti-social behaviour.
The group takes its lead from community priorities identified from PACT meetings or from consultations undertaken by groups such as Communities First, so if you have burning issues you feel are not being addressed please attend your local PACT meeting or get in touch with us.
